Summary: As Cathy, the Gite owner, had told us she would not be available for the first week of our holiday, i had to message her to find out where to pick the key up.The mattress is solid foam, so not compatible with very hot weather, making nights quite uncomfortable. There was no iron or ironing board as shown on the iitinerary, but was provided on our middle weekend. They were the bad points.The good points, set in some lovely grounds with rabbits playing on the grass first thing in the morning. Very quiet at night as the traffic on the road has ceased, but can be very busy during the day. Everything you would need is provided, although we always take some of own things, just in case. The wind out blinds provide shade for all the slabbed patio area, although they do keep the heat under them, but by the evening meal, the sun has moved and they can be wound back and it is nice and cool. The oven is electric and the hob gas, both easy to use. Would i stop again, yes. It is a four minute drive into Sarlat down the A704, so ideally situated for the Town, main route and chateaux.Cathy only speaks French and my French is limited, but we coped. It was easy to message and use Google translate.
