Summary: We had everything that we needed for a lovely week in the Loire Valley. Michele and Philippe made us very welcome (despite our lack of French) and even made room for us to put our electric bikes in their garage. The surrounding countryside is full of enormous vineyards, as the name "Les Treilles" suggests, and the property is just a few miles from both the Chateau de Breze in one direction and the Abbaye de Fontevraud in the other. There are lots of other fascinating places to visit in the area by car. In the exceptional and extreme heat of the week we were there (up to 38 degrees C), we found that while the upper floor became too hot during the day, at least the lower floor remained reasonably cool. We would happily stay there again!
