'Maison Hugo' is located in the heart of the Aveyron, South-West France, in one of the most beautiful settings you will find and is perfectly positioned to explore this rich area.
The house is light and spacious, with 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and has been renovated to a high standard.
Maison Hugo benefits from a fantastic outdoor area, with a large decked terrace with amazing countryside views. The terrace is accessed from the kitchen making it the perfect place for outdoor dining. There is also a gas barbecue for your use.
The swimming pool is nestled into the hillside of the garden and is the ultimate 'get away from it all' spot. Relaxation guaranteed. The pool area is secure with a lockable gate.
It is just a short 5 minute walk into the pretty village of Lunac, with its church and chateau set around a village square. For all your provisions, the nearest supermarket, and boulangerie, is at La Fouillade, a 10 minute drive.
We are incredibly lucky to be just 15 minutes away from Najac, a 'beaux' village and the jewel of the area, with its magnificent medieval chateau, restaurants and tourist events throughout the summer. Including the evening food market every Wednesday throughout the summer.
Slightly further, there is the hilltop town of Cordes-sur-Ciel, which was recently voted Frances favourite town. Then there is the beautiful town of Saint Antonin Noble Val, next to the river Aveyron. The large town of Villefranche-de-Rouergue (20 minutes), a 'Bastide Royale', hosts the unmissable Thursday market, one of the largest in France and is bursting with local produce.

Summary: The property is set on the outskirts of a beautiful small village. The village has few amenities but the location is stunning, with beautiful views. The house itself is lovely and has everything you need. The lounge is very spacious and comfortable, but with the weather we had we didn’t use it at all. The kitchen is spacious and has everything. The bedrooms are lovely and thankfully there was a fan in each, which was so welcome due to the high temperatures. Bathrooms are beautiful and seemingly newly renovated. What makes the house is the outside space and pool - simply beautiful. Amazing views of the countryside, and the pool area was perfect to spend lazy days. We visited Padirac caves (a long drive but worth is), we kayaked along the Averyron river from Saint Antonin to La Sole, we visited Cordes sur Ciel and Najac. I would highly recommend this property. Although it maybe a little isolated for some, the peace and quiet it offers was exactly what we were looking for. Correspondence with the owner, Fiona, was excellent - swift and responsive.
