Located in a protected Natura 2000 area, our cottage is perfect for peace and relaxation on a 2-hectare property of woods and canals. Le Bas Marais lies in the Marais Poitevin, in southern Vendée. You’re 20 minutes from Luçon, 40 minutes from Vendée’s sandy beaches, 45 minutes from La Rochelle, Île de Ré, and La Roche-sur-Yon, 25 minutes from Lake Mervent, its zoo and Vouvant, and 1 hour from Puy du Fou park.
The cottage accommodates 2 guests and features a fully equipped kitchen (washing machine, electric oven, microwave) open to the living room with TV. There’s one bedroom with a double bed (140 x 190) and a spacious bathroom.
Adjacent to the Tournesol cottage, each rental has a private garden at the back, separated by shrubs, with a terrace, barbecue, garden furniture, and sun loungers facing the canal.
The heated, secure pool is open from mid-May to late September (weather permitting), 9:30 am to 9 pm.
Outdoor games include football, badminton, ping-pong, volleyball, darts, swing, slide, and Molkky. Bicycles are available, and you can enjoy a boat ride on the Canal des Hollandais. Fishing enthusiasts are welcome—please bring your own gear.
