Summary: I was told that I had accidentally booked the best hotel in Lyon by a friend. If I hadn’t been told that, then maybe it would have not swung this review so much. The room was average, with the bathroom in poor condition especially the shower/bath. Bed was ikea assembled but fine. Breakfast was disappointing, given the smallest plate possible for the buffet, the shortest sausages I’ve ever seen, no other way to pick up the overcooked pancakes than to use my hands, no glasses to pour the selection of juices into without going back to the table, only one table set up for breakfast. The hotel is very nice inside, as long as you know how to navigate it. It’s a bit of a maze. It’s perfectly located for the old town, and is quiet. But I’ve stayed in better hotels than this. It does as a reasonable hotel in the old town, perfectly comfortable but has its flaws. Context: I paid €225 for a double room for 2 nights Wednesday to Friday, including breakfast.
