The Main barn @ Lieu Dit Borie is one of three tastefully renovated accommodations on the property. The character restored 300 year old barn has been tastefully modernised and offers modern accommodation for 8 adults and up to 4 children. The main barn features four on-suite double bedrooms, two of which include double daybeds for children. The downstairs offers a large fully equipped kitchen with table sitting 8 comfortably, with further dining for 12+ on the outside patio. A large airy lounge with wood burning stove provides a welcome rest area with sofa seating and television with Uk channels. The rear garden is accessed from the kitchen has a large patio with dining area. The shared salt water swimming pool provides welcome entertainment for both adults and children and is fenced and secure for parents peace of mind. The communal enclosed lawned garden is also a haven of fun for the children, with their own activity area at the rear of the garden featuring trampolines, swings, slides, sandpit and see saw.
If you are travelling with toddlers and babies, we can supply high chair and cots, as well as other necessities. To lighten your load, all bed linens and towels (including pool towels) are provided in the price and each property is cleaned thoroughly prior to arrival and beds made up. The swimming pool is salt water and not chlorine so kinder on eyes and skin and the pool is tiled around with loungers and parasols for use by guests. The pool is secured with a fence and child proof locking gate so parents can rest easy knowing children can play in the garden safely with no risk from the pool. We have a selection of mountain bikes (with child seats) for guests to use to explore the surrounding countryside. There is kayaking and canoeing close by on the Dordogne river. The extensive secure lawned gardens are a paradise for children with table tennis, badminton, boules, trampoline, swings (complete with baby seat) slide, wooden Wendy house, sand pit, see-saw and swing ball. The mature trees in the garden offer leafy shade for reading or siesta time for those quieter moments.
All three properties offer an ideal location for a group holiday or for an extended family to celebrate an occasion together. All properties are available to rent together or separately by arrangement. The Main Barn and Rose Cottage can be connected via a door when rented together if requested.
All our properties and rooms will be prepared based on the number of people in your party. Guests will find basic provisions such as hand soap, washing up liquid and cloths and a minimum number of toilet rolls will be provided for your arrival. WiFi is complementary however due to the rural location it can be temperamental depending on the local weather.
