Positive: As always, the views are stunning. Breakfast was good, but the times have been reduced. The kitchen staff are always lovely. Check in was easy and efficient.

Negative: Unfortunately, Bayview seems to have been a bit neglected over the years and it’s showing. My bungalow, while it had the most stunning view of Phi Phi Leh, was very bare bones. There were no bedside lamps, nothing on the walls. Over all the room felt a bit neglected and run down. The ceiling fan was in desperate need of a real good cleaning. The cushions on the patio furniture were old and deteriorating, the foam on the loungers was actually rotting. The bathroom was a right state, in serious need of some attention, deep clean, updating and new paint. The water coming from the shower had a particularly bad smell sometimes. The water pressure was nonexistent in my bathroom sink. Half of the resort appeared to be closed down. The pool area has been completely stripped down. No furniture. No towels. No pool bar. No music. No way to order food. Many of the beautiful old big trees have been cut down all over the property, just stumps left behind. The stairs down to the beach are overgrown, the buildings are in disrepair. There is no way to wash the sand off your feet, as the shower is broken at that end. All over the property there were signs of neglect. Some bungalows had tarps on the roofs, instead of being repaired properly.

Summary: Great views, but property needs lots of TLC
